Pentagram Magic
The Pentagram has five bands, and can be assembled using the powers of the four cardinal directions, along with the power of center. You can also hold specific intentions within the closed ring.
Wearing it enables a physical presence of your intentions, a connection to the forces encapsulated in the ring.
It is a good idea to practice closing the ring beforehand, using the directions below as a guide. Once you are familiar with the method of closing the ring, closing it during the Ritual will go smoothly.
A ritual may be designed to endow a ring with particular powers, contain a spell, or simply hold your intentions towards a specific end.
As with any ritual, create sacred space, calling the directions as you do so.
Once between the worlds, explore and/or refine your intentions, using trance or other techniques, call on powers to aid you, and invite the possibilities for positive outcomes.
Once your intentions are clear and set, close the ring using the steps below, holding that intentioned energy within it.
Using these directions as a guide, (and adding any words as you deem appropriate), follow these steps to close the ring:
1 Take the second band (the one with just the arrow, no part of the circle attached) in your left hand, pointing the arrow east, away from you. (Call powers of the East)
2 Now turn to the right 90 degrees, and keep the first arrow pointing to the east. Take the first (single) band, and move it so that the arrow points south, and interlocks with the east arrow. Two points of the star are now formed. (Call powers of the South)
3 Turn again to the right, 90 degrees, and move the third band so that it's arrow points west. The notch behind the arrow should interlock with the previous band, so that now you have three arrows (points) locked together. (Call powers of the West)
4 Turn once more to face north, holding the three arrows pointing in their directions. Move the next band so that it loops through the center of the forming star, and slide it so that it points north. (Call powers of the North)
5 Raise the ring above you, so that the first three arrows point up to the sky, and place the fifth band so that it's arrow nests to the left of the first three (Call powers of Sky Above)
6 Lower the ring down towards the ground below. As you do so, rotate the final band so that it slides into place, nesting next to the others, and forming a star. (Call powers of the Earth Below)
7 Placing the completed ring on your finger keeps the puzzle from opening. Repeat any affirmations or intentions.
Close the circle and thank the directions, as usual. You now have a ring containing the powers that you have invoked. Please use it wisely.
